	<title>Apply For Credit Cards</title>
	<description>
The Internet has made it a lot easier to apply for credit cards. You get enough offers in the mail, but when you're looking for something specific, the offers you get in the mail often don't cut it.

Rewards, Balance Transfers, Low Rates....Oh My!
These days, it's not too hard to find a card with a low introductory rate for a decent period of time. You can even find 0% for up to a year in some cases! This is an excellent opportunity to transfer a balance to that card and try to get it paid off in a year's time, or to try a card out for this amount of time. Of course, if the interest rate is 0%, it makes it quite tempting to carry a balance over, and that can lead to bad habits.

If you're transferring a balance to a 0% card, make sure of these things:

 You know when the 0% ends
 You're never late with your payment (this can result in your account losing the 0% status and being charged late fees)
 There's no annual fee
 There's no balance transfer fee

Today it's getting harder to find a 0% card that will let you transfer a balance without charging a fee of 3 or 4% of the balance transferred. The best thing to do is to try to get that amount paid off during the 0% period without using the card for anything else until it's paid in full.

If you're looking for rewards, bad credit credit cards, low interest credit cards or anything else of that nature, there are a lot of web sites that will compare different credit cards for you. This helps you narrow down your choices. You can even apply for credit cards right on those sites!
