Most of us have credit cards. We need them for many things in this day and age. But if you don't pay the balance off in full each month, you need to look for low interest credit cards.

There are a lot of web sites that will enable you to compare various low interest credit cards. Some low interest credit cards offer rewards, and most don't charge an annual fee. Many of these comparison web sites will list their top pick, so you can use that as a guide. In addition, the will compare by feature. For example, if you pay your entire balance off in full each month, you don't have to worry about low interest rates. You might instead be more interested in rewards. Or perhaps you want to transfer a balance from a high interest credit card to a 0% interest card and pay it off during the 0% interest period. You might like the card so well that you'll decide to stick with it even after the 0% period ends--especially if the rate is low. Maybe you're only interested in good rewards, like travel rewards, cash back or gift certificates for your favorite stores.
With some cards, certain conditions might effect interest rates a bit. For example, if you have bad credit, you won't be as likely to get a good interest rate, you might only be able to apply for bad credit credit cards. And sometimes, if a card offers good rewards, the interest rates are higher. (Then again, if you pay the balance off in full each month, the interest rate shouldn't matter.)
