Okay, it's March, and the biggest gift-giving season of the year is now behind us. A lot of people racked up a hefty amount of debt on their Visa cards trying to get "just the right thing" for that special someone. But there's always someone on your list who's hard to buy for, like a teenage niece or nephew, an aunt, your sister-in-law...we could go on, but you get the idea. Rather than trying to figure out what "just the right thing" would be, why not give the gift that's never wrong--Visa gift cards (sometimes referred to as Visa check cards)?
Okay, okay, you might be one of those people who thinks giving gift cards is impersonal. But have you ever received one as a gift? You're excited about what you're going to buy with it, and you have lots of ideas. And so what if it's not quite the amount your nephew needs to get that cool new iPod he's been wanting? Maybe you can share your idea about giving him a Visa gift card with other equally perplexed family members you're shopping with, and your nephew will get enough Visa gift cards to get that iPod after all! If not, he has a part-time job. Let him make up the difference. Concerned that he'll think the gift is "only $25?" So what! You're not made of money, and obviously he's not either. Otherwise he wouldn't be collecting gift cards to buy that iPod!
